Armageddon

Revelation 16

15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

The elect, those true Christians still living on Earth during the End Times (7th Seal) will be gathered by Jesus so they can participate in the marriage supper of the Lamb. This happens after the sixth vial (Rev 16:12) which dries up the river Euphrates allowing the Kings of the East to advance on the remaining Jews. The marriage supper most likely occurs just after the seventh vial, when the Earth is struck again by the Object.

20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.

Armageddon is a place of assembly for those gathered (probably Heaven) and not a physical location on earth. The "them" in verse 16 refers to those watching and not to the Kings of the East.

Several centuries of misinterpretation have provided an incorrect definition when you look for Armageddon: "the place where the last battle between good and evil will be fought". The Devil is good at misinformation. When Jesus returns, I doubt his army will need to do any fighting. It will not be much of a "battle". -NRG
