Introduction to the Church of Philadelphia

Most theologians will tell you each of the Seven Churches of Asia- Minor existed at the time of the writing of the book of Revelation. The theologians also believe that The Seven Churches existed during different periods of the Age of the Gentiles. To represent these institutions however, they interpret the Churches as displaying the characteristics of Christianity during the several historical periods. I agree with this interpretation however, when it comes to the Church of Philadelphia I cannot find it in history or during the current society. Most theologians solve this problem by claiming the “church” they are associated with is the Church of Philadelphia. (I have done this myself.) However, as I read the description of the Church of Philadelphia to be honest I do not match this description and I don’t know of any religious group, now or in history, that does. The Church of Philadelphia is a future historical Christianity.
